Professional Language Services

My name is Zrinka Šimunić Kučinić. I am a professor of French language and literature and Latin language with Roman literature and an academic musician - solo singer. I completed my postgraduate studies in general linguistics at the University of Geneva, where I also defended my doctoral dissertation in discourse analysis in 2004 and obtained the title of Doctor of Humanities - Linguistics (PhD). ​

 

I have many years of experience in the field of teaching, scientific research and translation. From April 2021 to April 2024, as an independent entrepreneur, I ran the translation business OD “LEGE ARTIS” Sarajevo. ​​​ 

 

Having taught my daughter Martina since she was four years old and following her linguistic, cognitive and socio-emotional development, I have developed a method for early learning French as a foreign language, which I have then applied to early learning English and German. GIVE ME FIVE, TINA! is a 3in1 method for early learning French, English and/or German as foreign languages, intended for preschool children (4 to 6 years old). The GIVE ME FIVE, TINA! method represents the backbone, i.e. didactic material for our LITTLE SCHOOL OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES AND SINGING. Within the framework of a series of multilingual educational and creative workshops, children of middle (4-5) and older (5-6) preschool age spontaneously acquire one or more foreign languages ​​through play, singing and performing various creative and fun activities. ​​​​​​ 

 

In addition to products and services in the field of publishing and education for children, I also provide professional translation, localization, transcreation, consecutive interpreting, proofreading and expert editing services for language combinations French, English, German --> Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, as well as services for managing multilingual translation projects that include all South Slavic languages, all official EU languages ​​and major Asian languages. In this segment, I pay special attention to maintaining and improving the quality of translation services through translation analysis activities and maintaining and updating translation memories (I own a licensed SDL Trados Studio 2022 Professional).
